Privacy Policy
🔒 Our Privacy Promise
One Calendar collects ZERO personal data. Your events, reminders, and all calendar data are stored exclusively on your device. We never see your data, we never collect it, and we never will.
1. Introduction
Welcome to One Calendar (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices. This Privacy Policy explains how One Calendar handles your information—or more accurately, how it doesn't.
This policy applies to:
- The One Calendar mobile application for iOS and Android
- Our official website at onecalendar.win
By using One Calendar, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
Short answer: We don't collect any personal information.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information or usage data. All events, reminders, and calendar data you create are stored only on your device in a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your device and is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers.
Specifically, we DO NOT collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information
- Event titles, descriptions, dates, times, or locations
- Reminder settings or notification preferences
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
- Any other personal or behavioral information
3. How Data Is Processed Locally
All data processing happens entirely on your device:
- Events and reminders: Created, read, updated, and deleted locally. Displayed in Day, Week, Month, and Year views using only local database queries.
- Scheduling and notifications: Reminders are scheduled and delivered via your device's local notification system. No remote servers are involved in notification delivery.
- Time zone calculations: The App reads your device's current time zone setting to ensure accurate event times. No location data is accessed or transmitted.
- Search and filtering: All search operations are performed locally against your device's database.
Because all processing is local, the App works fully offline with no internet connection required.
4. Permissions We Request
To provide core functionality, One Calendar may request the following system permissions:
Important: You can review and revoke any permissions at any time in your device's system settings.
5. What We Don't Do
To be absolutely clear, One Calendar does NOT:
- ❌ Require user accounts, logins, or registration
- ❌ Store your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- ❌ Upload your events, reminders, or calendar data to the cloud
- ❌ Include analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or telemetry systems
- ❌ Display advertisements or include ad network SDKs
- ❌ Integrate third-party services that collect user data
- ❌ Track your behavior, usage patterns, or interactions
- ❌ Share data with third parties, data brokers, or advertisers
- ❌ Perform cross-app or cross-site tracking
- ❌ Profile users for any purpose
- ❌ Sell or monetize user data (because we don't have any!)
6. Third-Party Services
The App itself contains zero third-party services or integrations that collect data.
However, please note:
- App Store distribution: When you download One Calendar from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms collect certain information (e.g., your account info, download history) according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive this information.
- Website hosting: Our official website (onecalendar.win) is hosted on static hosting services. These providers may process server logs (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and operational purposes. We do not have access to these logs and do not use them for analytics or tracking.
One Calendar does not communicate with any remote servers during normal operation. You can verify this by monitoring your device's network activity while using the App.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
You are in complete control of your data.
- Deleting events: Deleted events are immediately and permanently removed from your device's database. There are no backups on our servers (because we don't have servers storing your data).
- Uninstalling the App: When you uninstall One Calendar, all local data (events, reminders, settings) is permanently deleted from your device. We cannot recover this data because we never had access to it.
- Manual backup: If we add export functionality in the future, you'll be able to manually back up your data to files on your device or cloud storage of your choice. This would be entirely under your control.
8. Children's Privacy
One Calendar does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
Because the App does not collect any data, it is safe for users of all ages. However, we recommend that parents and guardians supervise children's use of any digital device or application.
If you believe we have unintentionally collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. International Data Transfers
This section does not apply to One Calendar because we do not transfer any data.
All your calendar data remains on your device, regardless of where you are located. There are no international data transfers because there are no data transfers at all.
10. Data Security
Your data's security is built into the App's design:
- Local storage: Data is stored in a SQLite database protected by your device's operating system security.
- No network transmission: Because data never leaves your device, it cannot be intercepted during transmission.
- No remote access: We have no servers, no admin panels, and no ability to access your data remotely.
- Device security: Your calendar data is as secure as your device. We recommend using device encryption, screen lock, and other security features provided by your operating system.
While we take reasonable measures to secure the App itself, please remember that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a strong passcode and keep your operating system updated.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under laws like GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), or other privacy regulations.
For One Calendar specifically:
- Right to access: You can access all your data directly in the App. We do not have copies of your data.
- Right to deletion: You can delete events individually or uninstall the App to delete all data.
- Right to portability: Currently, you cannot export your data, but we may add this feature in the future.
- Right to rectification: You can edit any event or reminder directly in the App.
- Right to object or withdraw consent: Because we don't collect data, there is nothing to object to or withdraw.
If you have questions about your privacy rights, please contact us at [email protected].
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify users of significant changes through the App or on our website
- Maintain our core privacy-first principles
Your continued use of One Calendar after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the changes, please discontinue use of the App.
We will never change our core commitment: We will not start collecting your data without explicit consent and a major version update that clearly explains the change.
